Digital Radiology
Digital Radiology is an advanced technology allowing a rapid view of many parts of the body. The advancements in imaging allow us to achieve ideal magnification, contrast, and resolution without repeat exposure to radiation. While widely recognized as a tool to identify broken bones, radiology also allows us to diagnose many other conditions from GI foreign bodies to heart and lung pathology. We also have PENN Hip Certified staff to help determine hip quality of breeding animals along with OFA Certification. While rapid, some conditions may require sedation for image capture.
Ultrasonography
Our doctors have specialized training in the use of medical ultrasonography to visualize soft tissues in the body. This allows our team a non-invasive diagnostic to view internal structures. This helps us diagnose and monitor progress and health during pregnancy, diagnose conditions of the internal organs, assess for internal injury, and more.
In-House Laboratory
Our technicians are trained to perform many types of blood analysis in-house such as heartworm testing, complete blood cell counts, full organ profiles, FeLV/FIV testing, blood sugar testing, and more. We are equipped for microscopic exam of urine and fecal samples, tissue cytology, and ectoparasite detection. We also utilize several outside labs for more in-depth diagnostics such as histopathology on biopsy samples, culture and sensitivity testing, and more.
